Perspectives in Medical Research (PIMR) is a multidisciplinary, national, peer-reviewed journal published thrice annually by Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, Karimnagar, Telangana. It is published concurrently in print (ISSN 2348-1447) and electronic formats (ISSN 2348-229X).


Aim & Scope:

The journal publishes high-quality research from all medical specialities, including basic, applied, and translational research. The journal aims to support and disseminate knowledge and evidence-based practices in medical sciences.


Types of studies published:

The journal publishes a variety of studies, including:

• Original research articles including Systematic reviews and meta-analysis: These articles report the results of original research studies.

• Review articles: These articles provide a comprehensive overview of a particular topic in medical sciences.

• Case studies: These describe unique or interesting clinical cases.

• Short communications: These report brief findings from original research studies.

• Letters to the editor: These provide comments or feedback on previously published articles.

The PIMR journal is abstracted and indexed in the following databases:

Index Medicus (IMSEAR database), Ulrich's International Periodical Directory, J Gate, HINARI, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Academic Journals Index, Google Scholar, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine, and Index Copernicus.

Copyright and Licensing

Perspectives In Medical Research is an open-access journal and all articles published in PIMR are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License CC-BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original authors and PIMR journal are credited.


While authors retain copyright to their work, they grant PIMR publisher a non-exclusive license to publish first publication and distribute their articles under the CC-BY 4.0 license. This arrangement ensures that PIMR can effectively disseminate the articles while preserving the authors' ownership and control over their work.


To formalize this agreement, authors are required to sign and submit the License Agreement for Publication Form upon acceptance of their manuscript for publication. This form, available in Templates section of the website, outlines the terms and conditions of the CC-BY 4.0 license and ensure that authors are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities.



Advertising policy :

Perspectives in Medical Research accepts display and classified advertising. All advertisements must be approved by the journal's editorial board. The journal reserves the right to reject any advertisement deemed unsuitable for the journal's audience or that violates the journal's editorial policies.

Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a private medical college located in Karimnagar, Telangana, India. It was established in 2001 under the Prathima Educational Society. PIMS is recognized by the Government of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana. PIMS offers a 5-year MBBS program with an annual intake of 250 students, as well as postgraduate degree/diploma courses in various specialities. The college is committed to providing its students with a high-quality education and preparing them for successful careers in medicine. PIMS also has a strong commitment to research and providing quality healthcare to the community.
