4. Copyright and Licensing Policy

4.1 Author Retention of Copyright

Authors retain full copyright in their published work. PIMR does not claim copyright ownership of articles it publishes. Authors grant PIMR a non-exclusive licence to publish, distribute, and make the article permanently accessible under the CC BY 4.0 licence.

4.2 Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Licence (CC BY 4.0)

All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0) . This licence permits anyone to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that the original authors are credited and the journal is acknowledged as the source of first publication. The licence does not restrict the reuse of published articles beyond this attribution requirement.

4.3 Licence to Publish Form

Authors must complete and submit a signed Licence to Publish form when submitting their manuscript. This form is available on the Templates page of the journal website. The corresponding author submits the form on behalf of all co-authors. Submission of the manuscript without the signed form will result in a delay in processing.

4.4 Third-Party Material

Authors who wish to reproduce figures, tables, images, questionnaires, or substantial passages of text from previously published sources—whether or not the original work is under an open licence—must obtain written permission from the copyright holder before submission.

Evidence of permission must be uploaded with the manuscript. Material submitted without such evidence will be assumed to be original to the authors.

4.5 Journal Branding

The name, logo, and branding of Perspectives in Medical Research may not be used by any person or organisation for promotional or commercial purposes without the prior written approval of the publisher.
