9. Data Availability Policy

PIMR requires all authors to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript. This statement must explain clearly where the data supporting the reported findings can be found, or provide a reason if the data cannot be shared. The statement should appear at the end of the Methods section or as a separate section before the References.

9.1 Types of Data Availability Statement

The following are acceptable forms of a data availability statement:

  • Data available on request:
"The datasets generated and analysed during this study are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request."
  • Data deposited in a public repository:
"The data that support the findings of this study are openly available in [Repository Name] at [DOI or URL], accession number [XXXXX]."
  • Data not shareable (with reason):
"The data used in this study contain personal health information about identifiable individuals and cannot be shared publicly. Requests for de-identified data may be directed to the corresponding author and will be considered subject to applicable data protection requirements."

9.2 Supplementary Data

Supplementary data files submitted with the manuscript are peer-reviewed alongside the main article and are archived and linked to the published article. Supplementary data are permanently accessible through the journal's website and through the digital archive.

9.3 Requests during Review

Editors or reviewers may request access to raw data, analytical code, or other supporting materials as part of the peer review process. Authors are expected to provide these on request. The journal reserves the right to decline publication in cases where authors are unable to provide reasonable assurance about the accessibility of their data.
